Programs, clippings, transcripts of records, booklets, historical sketches, pamphlets, letters, and other items pertaining to churches in Putnam County, including Methodist, Baptist, Roman Catholic, Episcopal, Dutch Reformed, and Quaker. Items of note include original records of baptisms and marriages performed in the Philipstown Circuit (Methodist), 1842-1843; and miscellaneous papers of E. Clowes Chorley, D.D., rector of St. Philip's Church in the Highlands, consisting of a typescript on "How and What to Preach," pamphlets of his sermons, 1921-1939, and a memorial address about him, 1953.
