Papers include records of appointments, meetings, and telephone conversations which Smith had with the President, government officials, and other individuals; diaries recounting conferences with the President with occasional entries by John Blandford, Wayne Coy, and Paul Appleby; file copies of Smith's memoranda to Presidents Roosevelt and Truman, Eleanor Roosevelt, and other members of the White House Staff; and miscellaneous material including a biography of Smith and copies of correspondence to and from President Roosevelt.
