Personal correspondence, 1830-1903, includes letters from Albon P. Man to his brother Ebenezer Man discussing his law studies in New York City, Henry Clay as presidential candidate, and other political issues, 1831-1832; letter from Ebenezer Man to Mr. Pell of Ticonderoga about a fatal accident, 1839; other topics include health, travel, weddings, visits, and arrangements for support of a family member; other correspondents include Caroline Man, Albon Man, Frederick Man, Ellen Man, Charles Man, and related McCullock, Hascall, and Conant families. Business correspondence includes letters of Edward Ellice, Ebenezer Man, Joseph Rosseel, and George Parish and Ebenezer Man's annual reports to Rosseel primarily concerning land transactions, 1836-1863. Business papers include receipts, bonds, contracts, and town records such as minutes, reports, licenses, oaths of office, and accounts, 1807-1897, and letters from Ebenezer Man concerning land in Franklin County originally deeded to individuals by Gerrit Smith but never claimed, 1834. Receipts and legal papers primarily concern development of the Salmon River, 1852-1857. Collection also includes photographs, biographical materials, and miscellanea.
