Most of the prayers in this collection are intended for use in preparation for holy communion. They have been arranged according to the various occasions or "stages" of preparation in which they are to be used: at home, on the days prior to receiving the sacrament; on the day of communion, upon arising; in church, before and after having received the bread and wine.
