Vandenberg and his support of Vandenberg's candidacy for the Republican nomination for president in 1940; speeches relating mainly to banking during the depression; essay, entitled, "Pages from the diary of a lumberjack;" notebooks from University of Michigan Law School classes, 1923-1926; and photographs.

William B. Cudlip was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan on March 4, 1904. He attended Swarthmore College (1921-1922), then graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1926. After being admitted to the bar of Michigan, he joined the firm of Campbell, Bulkley & Ledyard in Detroit.
