The Michigan Bankers Association was established on Oct. 26, 1887. It's first officers were Perry Hannah (President, Traverse City), Albert Ives (1st Vice President, Detroit), Wellington R. Burt (2nd Vice President, Saginaw), F.W. Hayes (Treasurer, Detroit), and Silas B. Coleman (Treasurer, Detroit). The Association is a professional association representing Michigan banks in state and governmental affairs. Its membership includes bankers from all over the state.
