Frank Bateman Stanger was born in Cedarville, NJ on Aug. 31, 1914. He received his first ministerial appointment in the New Jersey Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1935 and served as pastor in 7 different churches in that conference until he became Executive Vice-president of Asbury Theological Seminary in the fall of 1959. Martha R. Jones was born in 1884. Her interest in nutrition was the outgrowth of her childhood illnesses of respiratory problems and severe tooth decay. She was the 1st woman to receive a Ph. D. in physiological chemistry at Yale. She conducted worldwide research on the effects of diet, and supported a diet of balanced acid-ash and alkaline foods. In 1961 she founded the Martha R. J.C. McPheeters was born in 1889. He graduated from Marvin College in 1909. He continued his education at Meridian College where he also taught greek and latin from 1910 to 1911. From 1912 to 1922 he was a conference evangelist and minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. From 1923-1931 he was the pastor of the University Methodist Church in Tucson, Arizona.
