Oscar Holcombe Mauzy (1926-2000), state senator and associate justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, was born to Lincoln Mauzy and Mildred Eva Kincaid in Houston, Texas. During World War II, Mauzy joined the United States Navy and served in the Pacific Theater as a Radar Man aboard the battleship USS Washington.
