Oscar Holcombe Mauzy (1926-2000), state senator and associate justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, was born to Lincoln Mauzy and Mildred Eva Kincaid in Houston, Texas. During World War II, Mauzy joined the United States Navy and served in the Pacific Theater as a Radar Man aboard the battleship USS Washington. In 1952, he earned a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin and practiced law until he was elected to the State Senate in 1966. Ten years later, he married Anne Rogers and became an associate justice of the Texas Supreme Court in 1986.

Oscar Holcombe Mauzy (1926-2000), state senator and associate justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, was born to Lincoln Mauzy and Mildred Eva Kincaid in Houston, Texas.

During World War II, Mauzy joined the United States Navy and served in the Pacific Theater as a Radar Man aboard the battleship USS Washington. In 1952, he earned a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin and practiced law until he was elected to the State Senate in 1966. Ten years later, he married Anne Rogers and became an associate justice of the Texas Supreme Court in 1986.
