John Lawe and George W. Lawe papers, 1799-1894.

Papers of John Lawe, a prominent Green Bay fur trader, and his son, George W. Lawe of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, consisting of business and personal letters to the elder Lawe from his uncle, Jacob Franks of Montreal, and other relatives; of scattered correspondence with the American Fur Company; and a series of correspondence, 1813-1880, concerning the family's claims against the United States for supplies in the War of 1812.
