Dow Chemical protest papers, 1967-1968.

Eyewitness account by former University of Wisconsin student Stuart Brandes of the Dow Chemical protest and riot which took place in the Commerce Building on the University of Wisconsin's Madison campus, Oct. 18, 1967. Handwritten immediately following the event, the detailed account describes the demonstration and includes a sketch of the interior of the building indicating where the "supporters" and "obstructors" had gathered. Also included are University resolutions, student resolutions, the Mermin Report (published by The Daily Cardinal), and other responses to the demonstration.
