Registra contradictarum, 1575-1790.

MacFarlane notes that in early days the Registrum Bullarum per officium contradictarum audientiae was the proper concern of the Chancery. Later, the function passed into the Datary and then the Secretariat. In fact, Boyle lists this series as part of the Secretariat of Contradicted Letters (Audientia Litterarum Contradictarum). These 198 volumes of registers contain summaries of certain bulls and are only a fragment of the original collection.
