Summary: Photograph album and scrapbook highlighting the activities and travels of Maria Gabaldon, ca. 1913 to 1940. Many images were taken on trips to southern California. There are images of homes and children. There are black-and-white post card photographs of Mexico's President Huerta, Francisco Madero, and Pancho Villa. Also present is an image of Chase Creek in Clifton, a childrens party, and University of Arizona students. The scrapbook contains programs of local music performances at the University of Arizona School of Music, Tucson Symphony, and Temple of Music and Art, and other student memorabilia, as well as poems, stories, songs, and news clippings about school topics.

Biographical note: University of Arizona student, pianist, and Spanish teacher; Maria Luisa Gabaldon was born in 1910 in Clifton, Arizona. The family moved to Safford in 1922 and she attended the University of Arizona beginning in 1927. Upon graduation, she taught Spanish in Safford and later at Potter School in Tucson.
