Court of Savannah Grand Jury record, 1737.

This collection consists of an incomplete copy of the presentments of the Court of Savannah Grand Jury, September 1, 1737. Included in their grievances were a number of issues against Thomas Causton and Noble Jones, the condition of public roads, the need for servants, the expense of physical and medical care, the need for a town wharf and crane, and the condition of the Tybee lighthouse. The presentment also mentions Isaac Young. The collection includes both the original document, bearing the jurors' signatures, and a photocopy.

A Grand Jury was called in the Court of Savannah on August 22, 1737 by Thomas Causton, Recorder and Magistrate, to investigate charges against John Wesley (1703-1791).
