The collection consists of four items: letter to Mr. Lowe, 27 August 1948, typed with handwritten corrections, commenting on his work, with uncomplimentary comments about "the now fashionable 'liberal viewpoint';" letter to Mr. Goldwater, 10 August 1964, with details about the publication of his USA dramatization; letter to Dear Jon, 31 May [no year], giving advice to a budding writer - listen to people and read classic literature. Also, pamphlet, John Dos Passos: An Appreciation, with short opinions about Dos Passos by Max Eastman, Robert Hillyer, Arthur Mizener, and Dawn Powell, [8] p., includes bibliography and portrait of Dos Passos, c1954 by Prentice Hall.
