Joyce Butler was born in Portland, Me., on June 27, 1933. She received her A.B. degree from Boston University in 1955, and was a founding member of the Society of Maine Archivists. From 1980-1995 Ms. Butler was Curator of Manuscripts and Exhibitions at the Brick Store Museum in Kennebunk, Me., and in 1993 was named Citizen of the Year by the Kennebunk/Kennebunkport Chamber of Commerce. She was the Curator of Museum Collections at the Maine Historical Society from 1996-2000. Ms. Butler lives in K...
