Robert Brewster Stanton papers, 1851-1960, bulk (1890-1950).

Collection includes correspondence, 1880-1923; field notes and diaries, 1871-1917; photographs, including his Colorado River voyage, 1889-1890, operations of the Hoskannini Mining Co., 1897-1900, and family photos; writings; maps; printed matter; and miscellaneous papers. Also included are a small collection of papers of Robert Livingston Stanton; correspondence, 1925-1959, of Anne Stanton Burchard documenting her efforts to publish her father's manuscript "The River and the Canyon"; letters from Anne to her parents while serving as a nurse in World War I; and a group of Burchard family papers, 1869-1941, including correspondence, photographs and printed matter mostly relating to Lewis Sayre Burchard and Samuel Dickinson Burchard.
