Correspondence : with Francis Scott Key, 1813 January 2-1813 September 12.

These papers contain exchanges between friends at a time when each was dissatisfied with his lot in life. Randolph had retired from public office and Key was considering turning from his law practice to teaching school. These nine letters were transcribed by Mr. Hugh A. Garland in booklet form. Six of them are from Randolph to Key, and the remaining three are from Key to Randolph.
