Minutes, 1757, in two bound volumes, including attendance lists, addresses and correspondence relating to a Council on Indian Affairs held at Easton, Pa. from 21 July to 7 August, 1757. One volume is a rough draft of the other. Indian alliances, treaties, land disputes and deeds were among the subjects discussed; items presented to the Indians were also mentioned. Benjamin Chew, James Hamilton, Lynford Lardner, John Mifflin, Richard Peters, Conrad Weiser, George Croghan, William Denny and Teedyuscung were among those in attendance.
