Letter : George Town, to George Hannah, 1817 March 4.

Randolph comments on his poor health as an excuse for not writing. His efforts with the War Office to settle several claims resulted in obtaining an amount due to Hannah for his baggage transportation. Randolph requests Hannah to present the note [not enclosed] to Capt. Daniel and Col. Hamner, Hannah's neighbors; the memo on the back will enable them to forward the proper vouchers and receipts to Peter Hagner to be paid from the Bank of Virginia. Hannah, Daniel, and Hagner served in the 26th Regiment, Brigade II, Division I from Charlotte County during the War of 1812. A photocopy of a printed picture of Randolph has been copied under the address.

2 leaves.
