Edmund Pendleton of Edmundsburg, Caroline County, Virginia, left his estate to his wife Sarah Pollard, his nephew Edmund Pendleton, his great nephews Edmund, Jr. and John Pendleton, his friend and nephew Col. John Taylor, and a token gift to Dr. William Baynham, in a will dated 19 May 1799. The will was proved on 13 December 1803. His nephews Edmund Pendleton, Edmund Pendleton, Jr., John Pendleton, and John Taylor were the executors. A copy of the will was filed as an exhibit in the suit of Pendleton vs Taylor, Corporation Court of Fredericksburg, Virginia, 1829.
