Department of the Army, Corps of Engineers, Public Works Projects (BOB Series 40.1). 1940-1952.

Letters and memorandums, reports with accompanying maps, charts, graphs, photographs, and surveys, and House of Representatives documents relating to public works projects undertaken by the Army Corps of Engineers. Many of the reports were in answer to questions raised by the House Committee on Rivers and Harbors. The projects include studies on beach erosion, determinations of salinity, lines of rivers and their tributaries, harbor improvements, and extension of seawalls. Other projects included construction of canals, channels, and inland waterways. Many of the projects were undertaken to assist in flood control.
