Local growth policy questionnaire returns, 1975-1976.

The Office of State Planning and its successors coordinated physical and economic development within the Commonwealth on behalf of the governor. Pursuant to St 1975, c 807, which provided for formulation of state growth and development policies and objectives, a questionnaire developed by the Office of State Planning in conjunction with the Special Commission on the Effects of Growth Patterns on the Quality of Life in the Commonwealth was sent to local growth policy committees mandated for each municipality. These committees drafted returns, held public hearings, and sent copies of final returns to the appropriate regional planning agency and to the Office of State Planning, which issued reports to the special commission.
