Lee family papers, 1754-1836.

Correspondence of Sir William Lee (1764-1801), 4th Baronet of Hartwell, Buckinghamshire. English army officer during the Napoleonic Wars. Also includes correspondence of other family members and official documents describing the activities of the 16th Light Dragoons in England, the Netherlands and France. The last box contains the two purchases from 1975 and 1978, one folder each: Accession #75-004 are letters from John James Vassar to Lee, 1779-1799 (43 items, 129 leaves), and accession #78-019 are William Harcourt letters to Lee, 1765-1796 (26 letters, 70 leaves).
