Collection of family material especially relating to Daniel Paddock. Included are receipts for items purchased, such as dress materials and food; deeds and agreements between members of the Paddock family and others; a membership certificate for the Order of Good Templars, given to Sophia Paddock; and the military papers of Daniel Paddock, which include his commissions as first lieutenant and captain and his letter of resignation. The collection also includes a significant number of letters to and from Daniel Paddock. These letters are to or from his parents, family and friends, and discuss, among other things, his Civil War expenses. Also included is a memoranda book, a collection of poems and sermons and several calling cards of Paddock family members and friends.
