This series documents the early history of the Sun Company and its predecessors. Records from Joseph Newton Pew's Pittsburgh office describe the organization and operation of Peoples Natural Gas and Keystone Gas Company. Records from the 1902-1904 period document Sun's transformation into an integrated oil company and the establishment of the Marcus Hook refinery. J. Howard Pew's correspondence documents the technical issues involved in refinery operations.
