A copy of H.R. 1153, "A Bill to restore to the public domain a part of the military reservation known as the Fort Ripley reservation in the state of Minnesota..." This bill, dated April 21, 1879, was introduced by Mr. Washburn (William D. Washburn) in the House of Representatives, 1st Session, 46th Congress and referred to the Committee on Public Lands. Attached to the bill is a statement certifying that it is a true copy of the original bill. The statement is signed and sealed by James Kerr, Clerk of the House of Representatives, and dated July 16, 1892.
