A codex of "Questo e ellibro che tracta di marcantie et usanze di Paesi," first published in Florence on December 10, 1481, as a compendium ofinformation for the 15th century businessman; including a method for finding out what day of the week a given month begins in a given year. The body of the text follows closely the version printed in Paciola's "Summa de Arithmetica." The manuscript contains 195 chapters whereas the printed versions contain only 194 chapters.

Walter Hausdorfer began his library career as a student assistant in the Sullivan Library, Temple Univ. In 1925 he became the Assistant Librarian. After obtaining his library degree at Columbia, Hausdorfer directed the Columbia School of Business Library for 16 years. Between 1946 and 1963 Hausdorfer served as head librarian at Temple Univ.
