Letter to Jasper Parrish, 1822 April 1.

Letter from the Christian Seneca Chiefs to Indian Agent Jasper Parrish informing him of an Indian council held by the "opposite party". They are concerned that the council was held to spread the report that the Christian party had become subject to the laws of the white people and were compelled to pay taxes on their land. Signers include James Stephenson, Young King, Capt. Billy, Stride Town, Little Johnson, Capt. Pollard, Tall Peter, Seneca White Two Guns, and Thomas Armstrong. Written at the Seneca Mission House.
