Photograph collection, 1879-1915.

This collection contains photographs of members of the Ala. State Bar Association which was chartered and given corporate powers by the Ala. state legislature in 1879 to govern the practice of law in Ala. and its code of ethics. The thirty-eight photographs are mounted on approximately fifteen by nine inch mat board with three to five photographs per board. Each photograph is identified and the member's years with the association are given. The mat boards at one time made up one large board before being cut into smaller sections. The boards each have chalk drawings of the Bar Association's seal. The photographs and board were processed by Tresslar's of Montgomery, Ala.
