Typed transcript of the trial of Frechette, companion of bank robber John Dillinger, in March-April, 1934, and of Minneapolis physician Clayton E. May and Mrs. Augusta Salt, who treated Dillinger for injuries, for conspiracy in abetting his escape from law enforcement officials. There is considerable detail on Dillinger's activities during this time. Frechette was found guilty.

John Herbert Dillinger (June 22, 1903 – July 22, 1934) was an American gangster of the Great Depression. He led a group known as the "Dillinger Gang" which was accused of robbing 24 banks and 4 police stations. Dillinger escaped from jail twice. Thomas Joseph Dodd, the third generation of his family to reside in Connecticut, was born in Norwich on 15 May 1907. During his career he served two terms in the U.S. Senate, and became well known for his work on the Nuremburg Trials where he served as Vice-Chairman of the Review Board and Executive Trial Counsel.
