Accounts of the lumber firm of Foster and Roos (July-October, 1856; pp. 1-12) and its successor, Bagley and Roos (Oct. 1856-1857; pp. 13-17 and 105-132). Some of the entries on pp. 1-12 also include continuations made by Bagley and Roos. Pages 17A-90 of the volume contain the Chisago County tax accounts (1868-1876) of N. C. D. Taylor, a Taylors Falls citizen.

Foster and Roos was a partnership of Thomas Foster and Oscar Roos. On October 11, 1856, the firm dissolved, with David T. Bagley replacing Foster in the partnership.
