This series documents the administrative activities of the Public Service Commission as it carries out its function of supervising and regulating public transportation and utilities. The records consist of correspondence, memoranda, minutes, and reports that provide information on policy, organization, program development, and other administrative functions. Among the services regulated by the Commission are electricity, gas, water, telephone, telegraph, radio, and public transportation, i.e., railroads, buses, truck lines, and taxis. Also included are Interstate Commerce Commission rulings and decisions. The series is arranged by a numerical filing scheme making it necessary to consult the Index to Administrative Files to obtain access to the records. The index is a series of three by five inch note cards that are arranged alphabetically by subject and provide the corresponding file number. (See ALAV90-A192.).
