Alexander Rush, Philadelphia gastroenterologist and great-great-grandson of physician Benjamin Rush, was born on 29 Oct. 1910. He married Carol Smith in 1945. Rush died on 24 Oct. 1983. Rush received a B.A. from Princeton University, 1932, and an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, 1936.
