Project folders, 1939-1942.

Included in this series are originals and copies of significant documents related to the initiation and administration of Virginia WPA projects. Generally included is the original project proposal prepared by a district office which consisted of working procedure plans, supplementary data (such as construction plans, specifications, deeds and easements), and other supporting documents. The series also will generally include a copy of the project application, (other copies of which were forwarded to regional and national headquarters), and related correspondence. This series was filmed in 1943, at the time WPA projects and offices were closed, and is on microfilm reels 17 through 30. There are many missing project folders.
