The Diabetes Control Program was initiated in 1987 by the Department of Public Health through a grant from the Centers for Disease Control to identify and educate diabetics in Alabama (Annual Reports, 1987). This series contains Diabetes Control Program Quarterly Reports prepared by the Diabetes Branch to document all important accomplishments and performance of the Alabama's Diabetes Control Program. Information available on these reports includes narrative statements on program activities, funding status, and progress toward program objectives. New program guidelines, survey results, and individual statistical reports on each participating county health department are usually attached to the reports.
