The San José State University Industrial Arts Department Collection, 1942-1980 (bulk 1960-1964), includes a variety of materials pertaining to the department's course curriculum, awards received, and works created by students. The collection consists of print and type-written materials along with photographs, postcards, and a handcrafted booklet. Also included is a scrapbook filled with newspaper clippings from the years 1960-1964 chronicling the Industrial Arts Department's move into its new building on campus, photographs of teacher training events, ( chapter) event programs, and several complete issues of the newspaper from 1966 and 1979. This collection is arranged into two series: Series I. Industrial Arts Department Miscellany, 1942-1980; and Series II. Industrial Arts Department Scrapbook, 1957-1979.
