Richard Gordon Lillard papers 1940-1988

Richard Gordon Lillard (1909-1990) was an English professor and author. He taught at Los Angeles City College (1933-34, 1935-42, and 1962-65), Indiana University (1943-47), UCLA (1947-65), and California State University, Los Angeles (1965-1974). In 1948, he won the Silver Medal of the Commonwealth Club of California for (1947). His other publications include (1942) and (1966). The collection consists primarily of Richard Lillard's manuscripts and notes for articles and unpublished work but also contains personal items and materials related to his academic career.
