Born to J. C. S. Morrow and Nannie Elizabeth Houston in La Grange, Texas, Temple Houston Morrow (1878-1966) was a maternal grandson of Texas hero Sam Houston. Morrow married Frances Augusta Carl in 1899, with whom he had four children, and served as the longtime president of Traders and General Insurance Company.
