Charles Paul Boner (1900-1979) was a member of the University of Texas Physics Department (1920-1970), founded the Defense Research Laboratories (now the Applied Research Laboratories), served in several UT and UT System administrative positions, and operated, with his sons, an acoustical consulting firm..
