Joseph Anzivino (b. 1921) began his association with basketball as a sports writer in Hawaii in World War II. In 1946, when the Harlem Globetrotters played in Hawaii, he met the teams' founder, Abe Saperstein, and began a long association with the organization. In 1988 he became general manager and, in 1992, president of the Harlem Globetrotters. He retired to Las Vegas in 1994. From the guide to the Joseph J.
