The Collection contains materials related to the book, A College Forum, edited by Joseph Doggett, Everett Gillis, and Rosa Bludworth, published by The Odyssey Press in 1963. In the Preface, the editors' arrived at what they considered a special design for their work, seeing a twofold need: "the need of the student for readings that will stimulate his own expression; the need of the instructor for a text that is adaptable to either a subject matter or a types of approach."
