The Texas State Preservation Board was created in 1983 by Senate Bill 147, 68th Legislature, Regular Session. The Board is composed of the Governor, who acts as chair, the Lieutenant Governor, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Terrell Blodgett, the Mike Hogg Professor in Urban Management in the L.B.J.
