Inventory of the Roger Asselineau Walt Whitman Collection 1855-2001

This collection consists primarily of the collected writings of Walt Whitman by Roger Asselineau, assorted manuscripts, programs, newspaper clippings, and monographs. Over 900 monographs are included as part of this collection, cataloged separately in the Library of Congress classification and housed in the repository stacks as part of the Lit/Whitman collection. Integral parts of this collection include a manuscript titled , Walt Whitman's handwritten critique on the works of various writers, and the monographs portraying the first editions of Walt Whitman's work, particularly Leaves of Grass.
