Reinhardt Von Boeckmann was born in Germany in 1855. He came to the United States in 1867, living in New Braunfels, Texas for five years before moving to Austin, Texas in 1872. He married Laura Bastian, also from Germany, in 1876. The couple had six children: Felix, Franz, Arthur, Walter, Carl and Hertha. Reinhardt was a printer by trade and started the Von Boeckmann-Jones Company in Austin, Texas in 1902. He died in 1909 and Laura passed away in 1938. Arthur von Boeckma...
