Historian Julien Chandler Yonge was editor of the Florida Historical Quarterly, 1925-1955, and Director of the P.K. Yonge Library of Florida History, 1944-1958. He was born and educated in Pensacola, Florida. Poor health prevented completion of his college degree. He collected Florida history materials and became a leader in the Florida Historical Society.
