Captured German films show German munitions factories and war material, German troops advancing, allied artillery firing, and wounded men being carried from the front. Gen. Eisenhower studies maps of the offensive. Part 2 shows a chimpanzee Christmas party in the St. Louis Zoo. Part 3, U.S. soldiers battle Japanese on Leyte. Gen. MacArthur and Filipino President Osmena decorate guerilla fighters in Tacloban. Maps the amphibious landing at Ormoc, Leyte. U.S. troops launch an invasion of Mindoro Island, U.S. artillery fires, Navy guns lay down a barrage, LCI's and other equipment litter the beach head. Filipinos cheer U.S. troops as the flag goes up in a Mindoro town.
