Part 4, French Gen. Giraud visits the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, LaFayette Square in Washington, D.C., and Mt. Vernon. Part 5, allied planes and naval guns bombard Sicily as glider-borne and airborne troops invade Sicily. Shows British Gens. Tender, Alexander, and Montgomery; Adm. Cunningham; and Gens. Eisenhower and Patton. Flashbacks show Italian troops marching and Mussolini addressing a crowd. President Roosevelt discusses unconditional surrender.
