Gabriel Gauthier (b. Sept. 12, 1916, Lyon, France), French Air Force officer, graduated from the Air Force Academy in Versailles in 1938 and was assigned to fighter group GCII/7. He served in combat from the first day of World War II, was seriously wounded but rejoined his team in North Africa in June 1940.
