Hamilton Hawkins Howze (b. Dec. 21, 1908, White Plains, New York), Major General in the U.S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1930. William Frederick Pitts (b. Nov. 27, 1919, March Field, Calif.-d. Dec. 30, 2008), U.S. Air Force officer, was awarded his pilot wings even before graduating from the U.S. Military Academy in 1943.
